10 Walt Disney World Dining tips

Hey guys, today I will be giving you some great tips for Disney Dining! I hope you enjoy these and let me know in the comments if you guys have tried any.

  1. The Disney Dining plan: The Disney Dining plans are a way to help people save money while dining at Disney World. There are currently three dining plans, but Disney just came out with a new dining plan, check out my Instagram for more information! These plans come in handy if you eat a lot, and like to order the most expensive items on the menu. If this is not you, I would not recommend the Disney Dining plan.
  2. Annual Pass holder and DVC discounts: Most table service restaurants, if not all, either have an annual pass holder or DVC discount. It does vary between restaurants, but it’s usually around 10%-20% off your entire meal! If you are members of both, like me, they only accept one discount per person, not per table. So if you have multiple paying guests in your party, everyone can use their discount as long as you have your card and ID to match!
  3. Advanced Dining reservation: These are a necessity, the bear necessities if I might add. These are going to get you into those popular restaurants like Cinderella’s Royal Table or Garden Grill. You can make these reservations 180 days in advance, so start planning before hand where you would like to go. Also, make sure you are booking reservations right at the 180 day mark for the best results!
  4. Starbucks: There is a Starbucks located within each of the four parks! Be careful, some are hidden and do not look like a traditional Starbucks. If you like to order Starbucks in the parks and have a Disney Dining Plan that has snack credits, consider using the snack credits for your drinks! Adding extra syrups and espresso shots are all included and can make the drink an $8+ credit, which can save you money in the long run!
  5. Crystal Palace: I wrote on another post about how great this restaurant is for breakfast. Here is another great reason why you should eat at The Crystal Palace. The Crystal Palace opens one hour before the park does, so getting that 8am breakfast reservation is a plus. You can get into the park for your reservation, then eat and take pictures with characters while everyone else is still waiting to get into the parks. Once you have finished eating, you can take advantage of some non-crowded picture opportunities. You can also use this as a head start to your day and maybe rope drop Splash Mountain or Peter Pan’s Flight if you weren’t able to get a Fastpass.
  6. Hollywood and Vine: For those of you who have little ones who are wanting to sign up for the Jedi Training Academy, consider making a reservation at Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood Studios. Like The Crystal Palace, you can eat at 8am and be on your way to get an early sign up spot for the Jedi Training Academy.
  7. Coral Reef: If you are dining at Coral Reef in EPCOT, consider arriving early for your reservation and ask for a tank side seat. Just let them know you are willing to wait as it might be a while. Dining right next to the tank verses dinning a few rows up, definitely makes a difference.
  8. Be Our Guest Restaurant: If you are planning to eat at Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch, consider making a dining reservation. While you can wait in line, it’s usually longer at lunch and may take a while.
  9. Fireworks at Cinderella’s Royal Table: For those of you who have already seen the fireworks from Main Street at Magic Kingdom, I recommend trying a new point of view and watching them from Cinderella’s castle. Make a reservation one hour before the fireworks start and request a window seat when you check in. You won’t be able to see the whole show, but it will be a truly magical experience!
  10. Be Flexible: Let’s face it, the best times to eat are the ones that are booked first. Being flexible comes in handy if you are okay with eating dinner at 8:30pm or Breakfast at 11:00am. You will have a lot more eating options if you do it this way. I’d rather eat a little later at an amazing restaurant, than not go because I couldn’t find a reservation at 6pm.

There you have it guys! I hope these help you plan out your dining experiences on your next Disney Trip. As always let me know what other tips you guys have in the comments. Thank you!

Top 5 Magic Kingdom table and quick service restaurants

Hello everyone! Today I will be ranking Magic Kingdom restaurants, so if you are planning a first time trip to MK and you have no idea where to eat then this is the post for you. These are all based on my opinion, but I would love to share it with you guys and let me know your favorite MK restaurants.

Number five on our restaurant list is Cinderella’s Royal Table. This seems to be the main restaurant at Magic Kingdom. It is located in an above banquet hall inside Cinderella’s Castle and is a table service restaurant. The number one reason why this is so popular, is because it is a character dinning experience. But they don’t just have any characters, they have the Disney Princesses! This dinning reservation is literally a girls dream come true. Once you check in, you will be escorted to a nearby room and have your picture taken with Cinderella herself! Then you will be seated at your table and the Disney princesses will be announced one by one. I believe they have different princesses each time, but the main ones will be Snow White, Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine. This is the perfect experience if you are not able to meet the Princesses in the parks. I will warn you, these reservations go very fast, so I recommend booking a reservation as close to the end of your trip as possible. As far as food goes, for breakfast they have french toast, steak and eggs and a variety of pastries. For lunch and dinner, they have things like cured meats and cheeses, roasted chicken breast, pork rib chop, and a chef’s fish of the day. They do have a kids menu that includes chicken nuggets, beef tenderloin or turkey pot pie. They also have a few selections of desserts including the seasonal sorbet and The Clock Strikes Twelve. This is a highly expensive restaurant as reservations are $35-$59.99 for breakfast, and can be over $60 for lunch and dinner per adult.

Number four is The Plaza. The Plaza restaurant is located at the end of Main Street on the right side (towards Tomorrow Land). This is a smaller table service restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Plaza has a selection of casual food while sitting in a elegant setting. For breakfast, they have things like eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon and of course everyone’s favorite, mickey waffles! Breakfast here is served everyday from 8am – 10:30am. For lunch and dinner they have things like sandwiches, burgers, fresh salads, meatloaf and a great selection of desserts and milkshakes. I highly recommend either a milkshake, or the brownie sundae! If you are looking into a dinning reservation, they are around $15-$34.99 per adult.

Number three is The Crystal Palace. This is also located at the end of Main Street and is across from The Plaza by the entrance to Adventure Land. It’s a beautiful glass building that can hold many guests as it is a table service restaurant. The main reason why I love this restaurant is the breakfast. Breakfast is also the cheapest option and it is a buffet style. The other great thing, is that this is a character dinning experience! This is where you can meet Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. This is a great experience if you have little ones. Even if you don’t have kids, it’s still a really great treat. these reservations are a little more expensive as they are $35-$59.99 per adult.

Number two is Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe and is located in Frontier Land by Splash Mountain. Now, Pecos Bills does not necessarily have anything special, but we always have to stop there because they have the best nachos in Walt Disney World. Pecos Bill is a Mexican cuisine, quick service restaurant that is very busy during the day. I recommend going to Pecos Bill later at night when it is cool and not so crowded. This place does have mobile ordering, so I highly recommend doing that. The most expensive item on there menu is $14.99 so it is definitely one of the cheaper places. There is a topping bar up by the registers, so I would take full advantage of that, especially with the nachos, and just take as many toppings as you want. This is a Mexican place, but they do have a few burgers if that is more your thing. They also have a few types of tacos and rice bowls. Another recommendation, is to try the mini churros with the chocolate sauce! It is definitely one of my families favorites.

Number one and my absolute favorite restaurant out of the whole Magic Kingdom, is Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe! Cosmic Rays is a quick service restaurant located on the edge of Tomorrow Land. It is my favorite mainly because of the theme. Since it’s in Tomorrow Land, it has that space/futuristic feel to it. It is a very large place. There is plenty of room to sit inside as well as outside. My favorite, and only place I will sit, is inside where Sonny Eclipse is on stage. I know a lot of people don’t really seem to care about Sonny Eclipse, but he is one of the main reasons why I love Cosmic Rays. For those of you who have not eaten here, Sonny Eclipse is an animatronic space alien, who sings and tells jokes while you eat. It is quite entertaining. If this is not your style, there are tables up by the serving counters in the main room that you can sit at. Another reason why I love Cosmic rays, is the food. The menu is kid friendly and includes hot dogs, chicken tenders, cheeseburgers and french fries. You can go into your My Disney Experience app and send in a mobile order which as always I highly recommend. This place can be very busy at lunch and dinner time. A great tip, these quick service places will give you a free cup of ice, all you do is ask!
